A Modern Makeover

Impressive Bathroom and Kitchen Solutions

The featured project comprises a renovated ensuite, powder room and bathroom. Better Bathrooms & Kitchens’ client wanted the design of the three rooms to coordinate so they flowed seamlessly from one area to the next. The clients sought modern, clean lines, which Better Bathrooms & Kitchens’ owner Garrett Hebden – the project’s designer – created with the use of quality contemporary fitting, fixtures, textures and shapes.

To harmonise the design across the three spaces, certain elements have been consistently integrated, including wallhung vanities, dual flush Pozzi Q2 wall-hung toilet suites and floor level entry showers in the bathroom and ensuite. Functionality has been achieved through the use of dual basins and spacious storage areas. The design of the vanities has also provided extra space underneath the sink in the bathroom and ensuite, while the renovation of the powder room has maximised the available space.

Aesthetic qualities also feature throughout the designs, from the curved basins to the simple yet stunning chrome tapware, the colour palette of black, white and tan and the use of strong square and rectangle shapes, seen in the mirrors and tiles. Illumination lights in the glass top of the ensuite vanity add a subtle but sophisticated touch.

The bathroom and ensuite each have under-floor heating and Tesrol high gloss vinyl wrap vanities with a 10mm glass top. Both rooms have a white CaesarStone top on the vanities and down lights. The ensuite’s mirrored wall cabinets are also finished in a white Tesrol high gloss vinyl wrap and have pull-out storage mechanisms.

This room also boasts a switchable glass window for privacy. Cabinets in the ensuite and bathroom have Tekform Slimline brushed nickel handles.

The ensuite’s floor and walls are comprised of 600mm x 600mm polished opal laid stack tiles and the showerscreen is frameless for a contemporary look.

The bathroom has polished garnet 300mm x 600mm tiles on the floors and walls, offering a colour scheme and tile size that differs from the ensuite.

Despite being in a relatively small space, the powder room of this house looks fantastic after its renovation thanks to the special touches by Better Bathrooms & Kitchens. Its black feature wall adds a point of difference and serves as an aesthetic highlight of the design.

This feature wall is comprised of Loft Negro floral embossed black 150mm x 600mm tiles, while rectified white gloss 150mm x 600mm tiles have been used on the powder room’s walls. It also has polished floorboards and an adjustable mirror.
