When the owners decided to renovate their dated bathroom design, they asked Garrett Hebden from Better Bathrooms and Kitchens to weave his magic and create them an attractive but functional masterpiece. “They asked me for a bathroom that was big enough they could both use; but it also needed to be able to double as a laundry,” says Garrett.
The main challenge was to come up with a design that would keep the bathroom as a relaxing and spacious retreat for the owners.
“Originally the bathroom had an exposed washing machine and trough, a large corner spa and dark slate tiles on the walls,” adds Garrett. Now the laundry and broom cupboard are artfully hidden, thanks to a few design tricks. To break up the solid brick construction, a new highlight glass brick window has been inserted in the wall to allow plenty of natural light. The large frameless double shower opens up the room and the double custom vanity unit in soft Maple gloss, acts as an attractive focal point.
The beautiful plate glass mirror is surrounded by an amazing glass mosaic riverbed and border tiles have been used in the corners. Together these features give a stylish feel to the room and make sure it retains its bathroom look.
