Working It

This kitchen looks good from all angles

Whether your vantage point is the entry to the room or you’re standing smack-bang in the centre of the room behind the island bench, you’ll realise that this kitchen was designed for maximum visual impact.

The Better Bathrooms & Kitchens team achieved this effect by positioning the chimney breast and cooker at a corner angle. Oozing a distinct French provincial style, the angled design allows the beautiful kitchen to be enjoyed from many areas of the family room, creating an inviting, cosy ambience.

An island bench with a gorgeous Emerald Pearl granite top was designed to complement the angled area. While the kitchen is abound with lots of period touches such as ornate corbels, columns and federation cap mouldings, a collection of modern fixtures and fittings were also incorporated into the design.

Downlights in the overheads set a lovely mood at night while Innotech full-extension soft-close runners and hinges ensure the cooking space is always operating at the height of efficiency.

An abundance of storage was also a must, so the talented craftsmen at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens fashioned a host of roomy overheads and deep drawers. As avid cookers, the owners also requested spice racks be included in the cabinetry.

Functional and practical, yet still an attractive showpiece, Better Bathrooms & Kitchens has delivered a kitchen the owners won’t ever want to leave!
